Dear NFTY-PAR,
Just over two years ago, I was dragged to my first NFTY event, and although I did not
love my first WINSTY, I returned to the following event because my sister told me that I
wouldn’t be able to go on my own. The service projects that I had participated in at WINSTY
left me with a huge sense of accomplishment in my actions, and the social justice topics that we
discussed at Spring Kallah impacted the perspectives that I continue to see today. After just two
events, my love of social action became very clear, and to this day, I prioritize this passion.
Because of my love for service and my belief that everyone’s voice must be heard, I,
Brooke Dunoff, am proud to declare my candidacy for NFTY-PAR Social Action Vice
President for the 5778-5779 year.
My intentions as a potential leader are to share my love for helping others and to expose
the participants of NFTY-PAR to new, important issues in the world. The points of focus that I
would like to emphasize include racial injustice, homelessness, and disability awareness. I would
love to share my intense passion for helping other people, and the reason for that is simply
because I care. I feel that it is extremely important to return the services that my
community has given me, and I show that through the charitable work that I involve myself in.
Because of NFTY-PAR I have found a value in social action, and I would be honored to share it
with my favorite community. Nothing would bring me more joy than introducing the people that
I love the most to causes that are meaningful to me.
I have participated in many programs both inside and outside of NFTY, and I feel that I
am now ready to use my experience to educate others on the issues that I have encountered. In
