I am Hermione Granger, top bounty hunter in the Ministry of Magic’s fugitive
retrieval department. Yes, surprising isn’t it? Due to my high NEWT scores after I
graduated Hogwarts, most assumed that I would become an auror, or something
“high–up” like that. So, it was a huge surprise to (nearly) everyone when I went
into bounty hunting instead.
But, in the words of Fred Weasley: “It isn’t really that surprising Hermione”, he
had told me earnestly, a mischievous glint in his cool green eyes, “you live by the
book, and it pisses you off when people don’t stay in that box. So, naturally, it
makes sense for you to choose a career which gives you the authority to drag
fugitives back to their rightful place where justice will be dealt upon them.”
Sigh. Fred Weasley makes me sound so stiff and cold-hearted. But the sad thing is
that he’s right. I love going and getting those sorry excuses for law-abiding
