I’m Evere F. Lamont Native American from the Yankton Sioux Tribe of the Seven Coucil
Fires. In Lakota it is said Ihanktowan or dwellers at the end. I am the eldest of the &ve of us. Two
brothers and two sisters. We are very fortunate to still have our parents with us and living
together. Other than my parents I am the only one that was born on the reservation. Short lived
as it was, I don’t remember when it was when we moved o- reservation. I believe it was my
parent’s decision to move o- the reservation. Back then there was a lot of indi-erence between
