My name is Ukachi Nkwocha and I am from Chicago, IL and come from a Nigerian-
American home. I have a few critical incidents in my life that have shaped me to be the young
woman that I am today. My first critical incident I would like to discuss would be who I am
today. I came up as a trouble and bullied kid. Because I was a foreigner from nigeria with a
“difficult” name to pronounce, I was immediately looked at as a target and subject to bullying. I
had got into multiple altercations with other students and caused trouble in class mainly because
