Behavioral and Social Science:
Behavioral science is the science that analyzes different behavioral factors that can affect your overall
health and the social sciences is the science that analyzes the healthy/unhealthy environments that are
sustained among different populations.
Behavioral science example: How smoking can/is affecting your overall health
Social science example: How healthy is the overall population and they look at the environmental
factors that are affecting the community’s health.
Maternal and Childs Health: Maternal and Childs health focuses on the health of both the mothers and
children’s health before and after birth. They also focus on educating expecting women and help guide
and train through child’s birth.
