Public health is a vital part of our everyday lives, we rarely think of the importance
behind it and how it impacts us. Public health focuses on improving and protecting community
health and well-being, with an emphasis on prevention among large groups of people. In an
article written by, Minnesota’s Public Health System called, “Government’s responsibility for
Public Health” it discusses the governments responsibility when it comes to public health. The
article states that, “Public health is one of the greatest things in which a government can invest
in. Early prevention, which is relatively inexpensive, can prevent dire and expensive health care
problems later in life.” Since the government’s primary role is the protection of its citizens and
public health is an area where the government is obliged to be a key player the governments
