Has the World Gone Crazy? Using Geography to explain North Korea, Russia, China and the
Middle East.

This was an interesting presentation that taught me about the geography of countries that
have given problems in the past and present to the United States. We first learned about Russia,
two times the size of the United States. With eleven time zones and one hundred and sixty degree
long, Russia is big country. It has extreme climate which can affect the population in many ways.
Russia being close to the North Pole the weather is cold, very cold, meaning frozen waters and
hard grounds. Russia has no good ports and the only livable agriculture only exists closer to the
Ukraine. With that being said Russia has the Ural Mountains, which divides the country. Seventy
percent of the population lives east of the Ural Mountains, where Moscow and many surrounding
