Papa Solutions
“Try it. You’ll like it. Papa Solutions.”
3
Founded by Earvin Lao, Steffen Arcenal, and Adrian Tiu in 2009, Papa
Solutions started out as a small internet cafe located right next to Ateneo de Davao
High School, located in Davao. The small business rose a few months later after it
opened with majority of its customers being students who visit the shop very often.
Lao, Arcenal, and Tiu considered their business as a success, but felt that it was too
stagnant and thus started to make plans in taking Papa Solutions to another higher
level.
Having graduated as a Bachelor in Management Information Systems and
garnering a Masters Degree in Computer Science, Lao, Arcenal, and Tiu made use of
their knowledge in Information Technology and transformed Papa Solutions from an
internet cafe into a well respected consulting firm that specializes in designing
unique hardware architecture according to the needs of its clients in mind. Papa
Solutions operates under its philosophy of accepting and embracing change, hence
its tagline, and encourages clients to do the same. With the guidance of the Ateneo
Department of Information Systems and Computer Science Faculty and the financial
support granted by The Duterte Group, Papa Solutions immediately attracted
numerous multinational, international and local companies such Coca-Cola, 3M,
Maybank, HSBC, FedEx and McDonald’s as their clients.
Currently, Papa Solutions works at an international scale having branches in
Lille, France, San Francisco, America, and Seoul, Korea. The company continues to
grow with each meaningful interaction with its clients, creating a two-way learning
