The 1950’s was an era in time where being different was considered bad. Rock n’ roll was the
young hip ideas of the fifties, and what was fun and different to the youth was unmoral and devilish to
adults. Violence was a main idea that rock n’ roll allowed in the fifties. When Nate King Cole was
mobbed by his audience the idea of violence goes to show that America was changing along with race.
Rock n’ roll includes a blend of blues, jazz, country, and western swing to produce a different sound
style. Rock n’ roll influenced different forms of violence. The music was considered unmoral and evil and
