THE STORY OF WOUNDED SOLDIERS
As a soldier it is a big pride to bring peace for their country and live a proud life.
Some soldiers came back home with a smile on their faces however for other
soldiers, life after the deathly war wouldn’t be the same anymore. Losing everything
is very easy but the urge to forget the past and try something new is hard. They are
desperate for a change, which is impossible. One thing that stuck on their mind for
the rest of their life is: It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
Screams. That’s what I heard. Regret is what I saw and pity is what I felt. The room
was crammed with soldiers, who used to stand with bravery and determination but
now they lay on bed covered with bloody gauzes and excruciating in pain. Poor
soldiers. They seemed as if they had given up on life and left reminiscing their
youthful days filled with girls and booze. Soldiers said it was those delightful days
that they missed. Those splendid days spent with hourglass girls, instead fate has
came and left them with great despair. The putrid smell surround the room came
from their wet-untended wounds and nurses looked wasted.
“Everyday is a busy day.” One of the nurses said. “Soldiers kept coming in with
dispatch legs, arms and other external organs you can mention of.” She continued.
Dark-baggy under eyes, messy hair and slump posture definitely shows that she is
severely fatigue, so does the other soldiers. Nevertheless, an unquestionable
patriotism and demand for peace still remained in the hearts of those who
participate.
The soldiers shared variety of stories and there was one that caught most of our
attentions. He didn’t want to reveal his name– embarrassed of his current state. He
told that, those who wanted to join the military should have the courage and
prepared of what is to come. “Hence,” He said in a serious tone. “Joining the army for
