Hamlet Writing Assignment
The play Hamlet is a whirlwind of emotions and in this play his famous quote “To be or
not to be” has been interpreted in many ways. He is very hopeless romantic and felt that since
love hurt so much he rather not feel any of the pain anymore and decides he wants to end his life
but goes through so many questions as to what will happened if he actually went through with it.
In the play he constantly contemplates about suicide and whether it was worth it or not
simply because of his heartbreak. He felt that death wouldn’t be so bad after all and believed that
if he was to die that it would be as if he was in a deep sleep. Of course the instant thought is that
we’d escape a lot by being dead all the emotions and pain will not be felt. He obviously didn’t
