Laurie: A good Parent
Every parent faces difficulties in raising their children. There are many children who are
notorious and some needs to be cherished. In today’s world parents are so busy in making money
or enjoying with their friends hence they forgot their duties. In John Carpenter’s Halloween he
showed that how Michael Myers killed her sister as she chooses having a sexual intercourse with
her boyfriend over her responsibilities towards Michael on the other hand Carpenter’s showed
the character of a girl named Laurie, he depicts her as a good parent. She was the only girl in the
film with good qualities. The way she protected the children from boogeyman depicts her as a
good mother, as a mother is always there to protect her child no matter how big the problem is.
