Gun Control
Gun control has been one of the most actively debated topics in the United States.
Supporters of both sides of the divide have argued the role guns play in the society out with
conservatives supporting gun ownership and liberals demanding for stronger control over gun
laws. According to recent data, there are approximately ninety guns for every 100 Americans.
Furthermore, over 280 million guns are in the hands of civilians, and firearms kill more than
30,000 people, mostly below the age of 35 years yearly. While the conservatives in support of
ownership could base their argument on the Second Amendment that gives citizens the right to
