Groupthink: When decisions are made for you
Group-think by definition is essentially people agreeing to, deciding on and
participating in the finality of an event; that in actuality is not thoroughly or objectively
evaluated for accuracy. Group-think preserves the role of the leader; at the core are
people afraid of going against conformity, who would rather agree to disagree and save
face. This type of phenomenon is catastrophic causing detrimental loss and set backs with
increased loss of trust in people,business and government.
In the journal Groupthink in temporary organizations (Hallgren,2008) the author
reflects back on past actions comparing a hiking expedition and temporary organizations
