Introduction
This financial plan is theoretical in nature and is intended to help in making decisions on
me and my family’s financial future based on theoretical information. Each section of this plan is
designed to give a better understanding of each of my financial circumstances and what’s
planned for the coming future. The goal of this financial plan is to make the greatest use of
current and projected financial assets.
In developing this plan I and my family will determine reasonable retirement, education,
insurance, and other financial objectives. Some events that will need to be reviewed in strategy
will involve career status, marital status, and well-being of loved ones. The value of this plan lies
in the execution. It will reflect what I and my family are trying to accomplish. The more
promptly these changes are made, the more likely the anticipated results will be achieved.
Career Planning
In planning my career it will be thought out, realistic and flexible, being that I am a
mother and wife. My career choice will provide for growth and change to move through the life.
To begin with my spouse and income, my husband just medically retired from the Army so he
will not be working just receiving disability checks from the army. His disability payments will
be $1862.00 monthly. His current goal in career planning will be going to school, which will pay
$2172.00 monthly. He will go to school for the next three years. To begin with me, I will start by
identifying my immediate goals. My short term goal is the present day to two years from now
will be to finish my undergraduate degree with honors. My income for going to school pays
$2172.00 and I also receive disability as well that pays $530.00, monthly.
Also in my short term goal is entering into an internship or find an entry-level position in
my chosen industry of criminal justice/investigative forensics. In finishing my undergraduate

degree in the timespan wanted and with honors, it is important to connect with my instructors for
extensive feedback, start a peer study group, and setting additional time to study more for any
remaining credits left on my degree. Since I am close to the end of finishing my degree, an
internship or entry level position is nearing. With the focus of this financial plan being figuring
out means of financial gain, I believe it is important first to gain an entry level position such as
armed security.
In researching I found full time security positions, with a salary of $20.57 an hour
