Assignment 2 1
GREEN HOUSE LTD HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
Introduction and summary of recommendations
Human Resource is the organization’s backbone; it is a very critical body that maintains
and sustains a healthy working environment. The Human resource department works closely with
the management team when screening candidates, training them, and assigning responsibilities.
Human Resource being a vital organ in the organization, it has some strengths as well as
weaknesses. This paper will focus on discussing Green House Ltd Human Resource strengths and
weaknesses. Some of the most prevalent strengths include an ongoing progression of work and
internal promotions. At this company, one employee’s absence does not halt its operations and
ensures gender equality in its offices. On the other hand, it suffers from increased grievances,
especially concerns about monitoring timekeeping and absence. Also, there are issues about
management style in engineering due to lack of experience in managing employees and lack of
flexibility in manufacturing staff.
Strengths
A constant progression of work
The absence of one employee does not disrupt Green House Ltd. The Human Resource
department knows in advance will leave the company either due to sickness, maternity, or
emergency leave and plan and organize its human Resource appropriately to ensure continuity.
For team leaders, the selection is made aptly and effectively, and the chosen candidates receive
rigorous training to undertake the new roles (Deb, p81). Additionally, the Human Resource
department supervises shortlisted candidates to provide hands-on training.
Internal employees’ promotions
Team leaders are selected from employees who have been working in the company for
some time because they understand the hierarchies, ethics, ethos, the company’s authority
structures, and workflows. Internal promotions put the company in a better position because it
provides employees who are well equipped with team leaders who can gel well within the company
authority structures, thus ensuring higher productivity and motivation levels (Murugesan, p139).
