Government Transformation Programmed (GTP)
The Government Transformation Programmed concerning six key priority areas. The
programmed was introduced by the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on 28 January
2010.The National Key Results Areas (NKRAs) under GTP is to improved Malaysia Sosio
economic growth. It represents the combination of short-term priorities to address urgent public
demands and long-term issues which is affecting the people who required Government attention.
The objectives of GTP is to transform the Government to be more effective in delivering
services and accountable for outcomes that matter most to the Rakyat which is GTP will focus on
the needs and wants of Rakyat through the fast delivery of results. Next, to enhanced Malaysia
development to become an advanced, united and just society with high standards of living for all.
A focused list of initiatives for each NKRAs was developed to achieved fast results of
specific target. The responsibility of relevant Ministries and Performance Delivery and
Management Unit (PEMANDU) is to monitor the achievement of each Ministry. Each NKRA will
be headed by a ministry. The Minister is subjected to the Ministerial Key Result Area (MKRA).
