National Health Care
This past November, America might not have realized what they were voting for or many
of the things they were voting for, one of many was for Obamacare. This became a
problem since Obama was elected “Obamacare” will take an active role in a huge chunk of
our life. Making it harder for us to live our day to day lives even more stressful, reasoning
enough why I don’t believe we should establish Obamacare.
The fact that the Government can tell us that we have to buy something is outrageous. If
they can tell us that we have to pay for government health care for everyone, soon they
will be telling us to pat our heads and rub our bellies. It might seem ridiculous, but once
power has been tasted it gets out of hand. This also infringes upon our rights to buy items
and such as we deem necessary, which is the main reason I am against it. In addition to it
infringing upon our rights, it will also force companies to either pay the fine for their
employees not having health insurance, or choosing from the four options below trying to
avoid it inevitably. “An employer faced with this law has four options: 1) It can pay a fine
for not offering insurance, which represents $2,000 in extra labor costs that cannot go to a
worker’s raises and cannot be reinvested in the business to create more jobs; 2) It can
spend much more money to buy health insurance with politically dictated bells and
