What is Google, and what does it mean ? The word google came from the term
‘Googol’, which is meant to be a mathematical term. Larry page and Sergey Brin are
the original founders of Google which was founded in 1966. They both studied
Computer Science and met in the University of Stanford, in 2005. In 1996, the first
idea they came out with for creating a search engine, was first called, ‘BackRub’.
After they both graduated, in 1997 they decided to work more on the search engine
they created and came with the conclusion to change its’ name to ‘Google’, and they
used this term to set a target of organizing infinite information on the Web. Their
current office is located in Mountain View, California, and the current CEO of google
is Sundar Pichai. The most significant service and product of Google is its’ ‘Search
Engine’ . Its’ job is to understand want the searcher wants and provide information
he/she actually means. As time passed, Google enhanced and developed new products

search’ and etc.. Fun facts about google, is that google’s first “office” was in a rented

effectiveness” (Robbins. Judge, Stephen. Timothy, Organizational Behavior.Pearson).
Starting with workplace diversity, Google’s task force is to organize the world’s
information and make it world wide accessible and useful. “When we say we want to
build for everyone, we mean everyone. To do that well, we need a workforce that’s
more representative of the users we serve” ( Brown, Parker. Danielle, Melonie.
Google’s annual report, 2019). Google managed to get rid of ageism, sexism and
racism by supporting diverse thinking in their work environment. In Google’s working
