Google vs. Yahoo Company Overview
INTRODUCTION
Google and Yahoo are intimidating names in the internet information technology, especially
in the massive world of the internet. Google is considered the market leader in the industry with
66% of the global market share,[CITATION Net12 \l 1033 ]. This dominating market share is
followed by Baidu, Bing and then Yahoo. Yahoo has a mere 9% of the global market followed by
other Search Engine companies,[CITATION Net12 \l 1033 ]. With this said we see that Google
has a Market Cap of 345.47 billion as opposed to Yahoo which only holds 44.02 billion,
[CITATION Net12 \l 1033 ]. According to last year’s SEC filings dated December 31, 2013 we
see that Google’s Net income was 12,920,000 dollars whereas Yahoo’s Net income was only
