Google, the world population will be over a third of its used Google networksearch engine,
and in 2013 the global turnover approaching 501.7 billion dollars.However, because of
search engine developed spent too much learning time and money, Page and Brain even
consider sold Google only around$ 750,000 in 1999. Thus, to reach today’s achievements
according technological and knowledge is not enough, strategy and marketing is the key to
success.

Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brain, and “Google” is a
mathematical term which means “1 followed by 100 zero”. Itis an American multinational
technology company, is committed to Internet search, cloud computing, advertising,
technology and other fields, to develop and deliver a large number of Internet-based
products and services, and its main profits from AdWords and other advertising services.
On addition, Google’s official mission is “To organize the world’s information and make it
universally accessible and useful”, and now widely recognized as the world’s largest search
engine. Google have made datasearchable from a website, from your computer, from an
intranet, and on the internet. The internet is ageographically borderlessenvironment to
them.
OnAugust 192004, Google shares were successfully listed on the Nasdaq stock market,
price around $ 85. And in October 31 2007, benefiting from strong in the Internet
advertising market earnings, the stock for the first time more than 700 U.Sdollars, there is
tremendous growth during these three years.Moreover, since 2001, Google has acquired
many companies, such as Picasa and Keyhole Inc.Google used Keyhole’s development
product “Earth Viewer” renamed “Google Earth”.And at November 2006, Google
announced $ 1.65 billion in stock to acquire YouTube. On April 14th 2007, Google
announced andagreement to purchase DoubleClick for $3.1 billion in cash, etc.
Simultaneously, Google’s brand value has excellent growth; in BrandZ data survey, in
2009 got the 5th place, in 2010 the second place, and in 2011 finally won the top spot. The
brand value from 2009 to 292.61 billion U.S. dollars, in 2010 around 361.91 billion dollar,
to $ 442.94 billion in 2011. Sit tight in the 2nd place in 2012 and 2013, and the brand value
increased to 1,136 billion U.S. dollars.
