What makes a leader a leader is it the way he talks to his employees? It maybe the way he
handles disgruntled customers? Possible even do something like clean the restrooms or mope the
floors? A good leader should be someone strong, smart, willing to do almost anything for his or
her team members, a person that is not afraid of getting down on hands and need knees and
scrubbing the floors if need be. This carrier over to what we see with the leaders in the Video
Norma Ray and the book Gung Ho and How these leaders were proactive and striving to achieve
their goals no matter the odds.
Was the main character Norma Ray a leader? She was probably the best leader in the
whole movie. She had all the qualities of a great leader. She is the type of leader to drive in head
first to help those in need. She is willing to get her hands dirty with everyone else if she should.
She cares enough for her friends and coworker that she told a promotion and then rejected it later
because her friends, family, and coworkers started to dislike her. After that she spent a lot of time
making sure that everyone was doing good and cared a lot of her mill workers. Reuben was a
leader as well but of a different type of leader be a leader never the less. He leads by motivation
with strong words and swift actions take charge with a battle plan ready to strike and if that plan
doesn’t work he has a second ready. He’s educated that know the laws and the rights of the
workers so he can go head to head with the owners and CEO’s of the places. Finally, he lessons
