Introduction
The financial crisis of 2008 had affected every major company in the Wall Street
including Goldman Sachs, one of the most profitable firms. Eventually, Goldman
Sachs had to ask for federal aid just to survive the crisis. In 2009 they started paying
back their federal aid and by 2010 their profits were up by 91 percent. At the same
time they were being charged with cases of security fraud and were also accused of
misleading the investors by advising the investors to invest in certain areas but then
selling those same stocks short.
