Over the next eight weeks I will plan to acquire a new skill that will make me more eco-
friendly in my household. I will be recording data and creating an organization of task to
complete weekly. I am aware that these two task will be important to maintain while
completing my Go Green project, so that I can give detailed information at the end of the
next 8 weeks. I have decided that I will work to make the world more eco-friendly by
eating no beef or lamb.
Since I turned 21 and joined a fitness group in my hometown I have been a very
health conscious person. I never realized until researching for this project that I could be
eco-conscious by eating certain meats. There are meats that are eco friendly based off
how they are packaged and what emissions they give off. I have decided for my third
analysis that I will record my meat intake weekly and also eat meats that are more eco-
friendly to our environment. Lastly, there are certain herbs and vegetables that I use
weekly to cook with. I will start to buy fresh local herbs and vegetables and record these
items that I buy every week.
I have been researching this past week and there are so many different Internet
resources that will help me pick the rights foods to eat and places to shop. I will also
creating data tables to record my progress throughout the next weeks. I have decided to
record my data using charts, tables and pictures. I will record numerical data that shows
how much carbon dioxide I am saving from releasing into the environment.

Go Green Final Project
I predict that I will effectively reduce emissions in our environment by 2% by completely
discontinuing beef and lamb from my diet for 8 weeks. I will be eating a very strict diet
that will be the same every Monday to Friday for 8 weeks. During the weekends I will be
recording what I eat when out with friends and make sure that my meals are completely
without beef and lamb.
I picked this project to see what percentage one person could have on changing
the environment based on what meats they ate. I will effectively analyze, investigate and
compare my new dieting lifestyle based on one of my best friends dieting lifestyles. My
best friend and I have similar lifestyles and live in the same area. We spend several days
during the week and weekends together. She has agreed to record her meat intake during
the 8 weeks and will continue to eat beef and lamb. She does not eat fish so that will not
be included in her diet. I will include some photos of different foods that I have prepared
during the weeks.
Since my project will just be recording the emissions of meats such as poultry,
fish, lamb and beef; Sara and I will only record the meats we intake. We will both specify
the weight of that amount of meats we both eat so that I can compare statistically at the
end of the next 8 weeks.
Kristina’s Weekly Eating Log:
Each day for breakfast I would have oatmeal, toast with vegetables or cereal. If I snaked
it would be on granola and canned tuna with crackers. Although very difficult for the last
8 weeks I have not ate any beef or lamb. The days where I put that I had no meats I
would eat pho soup.
