Go Cubs Go
“Play ball,” I heard the elderly man next to me holler at the field ahead of us. The
satisfying smell of roasted peanuts and fresh hot dogs filled my nose. I could have heard the hype
music from miles away. And there went the first pitch thrown right down the center by Jake
Arietta, “STRIKE!” yelled the umpire. My seats were so close it was like watching the game on
television from my leather couch in my living room. Nothing in the world could beat a vacation
day spent at Wrigley field watching my all-time favorite team!
