The foundation of relationships based in America has tremendously changed over the past.
Different variation of marriages in the US and divorce provide a comprehensive analysis on both total
numbers.
According to cdc.gov, marriage and divorce rates were impacted as a result from multiple changes in the
past five decades. This includes:
• Gender roles in marriages
• Women’s liberation
• Labor force increase for Women
I have analyzed that there is a decrease marriage amongst women between the ages of 18-35. A trend
amongst young women who are educated has increased to at least 36 percent. Whereas, young women
with minimal education background has dropped to more than 13 percent. Women, who have attained
college degrees, look to get marriage after completing their education gaining success and then having
children. This is called the success sequence. This trend follows many years of an increasing trend of un-
wed mothers.
This is relevant to our current topic, because it is important to understand and provide accurate
information that is complex. With this valuable information, experts can study this essential information
to determine a better outcome for the future.
