Discussion Questions:
1. Globalization has different effects to companies. This phenomenon either bring threats
or opportunities and such concept may directly contribute to increasing number of
competition and rapid technological change that might affect the company’s goals and
objectives. Below are significant areas that might bring opportunities and threats to
companies due to globalization. Discuss how a company might adapt to this change and
how will company might protect itself from its negative effects and/or get opportunities
from this changing situation.
a. Technological Change
Since technology advances so quickly, it can be daunting to attempt to keep pace
with new trends. However, versatility and an open mind are going to serve the company
well. If you struggle to keep up with the latest developments in technology, whether its
software upgrades or website features, or any other aspect of your product or service,
your company might be doomed. The first move is educating yourself about emerging
technologies to help your company succeed. In the form of journals, blogs, and
