Elizabeth Kolbert, an American journalist, once said “As best as can be determined, the
world is now warmer than it has been at any point in the last two millennia, and, if current trends
continue, by the end of the century it will likely be hotter than at any point in the last two million
years” (Finest Quotes, n.d.). What exactly is causing this warm up? For years global warming
(also called climate change) has been a heated topic for many. Some feel that this issue is not
real, while some scientists have been hell bent on proving that global warming is behind all of
the climate changes. This issue has been debated with government officials in efforts to gain
more funding to better research it. There have been countless speeches on global warming and
scientists have shown us what we need to do to curb it. All of this research has been presented to
