What is Climate change?
Climate change has been defined by the study of weather through hundreds of years by keeping track of
the characteristics within weather patterns regionally. Throughout the years we have noticed variations
in the Earth’s climate such as; temperature, precipitation, and storm frequency. The rapid climatic changes
taking place now are due to human activity which include; fossil fuels, fire, and deforestation.
What are the changes associated with climate change?
Every year we see how the weather changes throughout the four seasons and we can note the Earth’s rise
in temperature that affects all human and natural ecosystems above and below water. It is said that
human activity is causing these changes to the climate due to usage of fossil fuels such as: oil, natural gas
and coal. Burning these fuels is making carbon dioxide reach the atmosphere which is causing damage to
the north pole glacier that continues to melt. This causes ocean waters to rise to a point where costal
countries are threatened by flood that can generate major damage to property and mangrove
