Global marketing is important for a successful marketer to invest their
time in, because it will help expand their business as well as create a
long lasting relationship with other countries.
“The rapid globalization of business and the boundless nature of the
Internet have made it possible for every marketer to become an
international marketer.” Many companies have increased their sales,
which ultimately helped the success of their business because of their
expansion across countries. A great example of global expansion is the
company Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart ranks as the World’s largest private employer, with more than
2 million employees and the largest retailer. The sales that this company
makes annually are 50 percent more than the sales of many other
companies, such as Target, Sears, Costco, and Kmart combined. Wal-
Mart currently devotes billions of dollars in expansion e,orts overseas in
many countries. These countries include Canada, China, Central
America, India, Japan South America and the United Kingdom. All of this
doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes time and a lot of e,ort to be able

that has to happen, is that the company needs to research the potential
international market that the specific product will be sold into.
The marketing company must know and understand the concrete
information about the country in which their product will also be sold.
Some of these details that need to be understood, are the distribution of
technology, how the information could potentially impact the marketing
plan. It obviously takes a lot of hard work and requires a lot of time in
order to successfully market a product abroad. There are a few steps
that could help prepare this plan. First thing to do, like mentioned before
is research the area in which the product will be sold.
It is important to understand the role religion has on the daily life of the
citizens. Once that has become aware, then the determination of the

product to appear as a taboo to the specific religious group needs to be
addressed. From changes can be made in order to tailor the product to
their specific needs and wants. For example, if I wanted to market
Fedoras in the European Union, I would first have to research if wearing
such hats like these is against religious groups in Europe beliefs. Once
that research is over and I have gathered my information, then I could go
ahead and change it a little bit to 1t their standards. The next step is to
determine the impact of technology and the availability of media within
the country.
From this determination, it is nice to know the percentage of the
population that has access to technology and media. This is important,
because I would need the use of technology and media to help promote
my product successfully. For example, with the fedoras, technology and
media will not only help get the word out about the product, but it will
also help run the business of selling these items. The fedoras that I
