The Single Samsung Initiative consisted of 5 factors:
People valued their employees.
Excellence continue to overcome challenges to become the World’s best company.
Change commitment to innovate and implement change.
Integrity ethical and ensuring fairness.
Co-prosperity took responsibility for the economic well-being of its community, nation,
and global society.
2. What were the implications of the initiative from an HR perspective, including an
analysis of the specific HR functions and related activities that were impacted as a result?
Recruitment and selection HR must carefully recruit and select candidates who posses
the talent to perform the job. If candidates lack the talent, it is wasted time. Candidates
chosen must also share the same goals and values and would want to be successful.
Training and development HR create programs to help employees and organization
succeed. Being able to identify any skills gaps along with new technical skills is
important when creating training and developmental programs because these programs
keep employees interactive and exposed to new trends and changes. When not properly
implemented, employees are not well prepared for competition and personal career
