I decided to write about Nursing because it’s an exceptional career! Imagine waking up
every morning to put on scrubs and become a superhero for someone that day. Nursing used to be
a career path most women pursued however, now there is an increase in male applicants for the
Nursingnursing programs., now Additionally, with the increase in health care demands from the
aging baby boomers the job is expected to grow for the next 10-15 years to come.
Registered Nurses have many tasks they have to comfort theincluding comforting the
patients, take taking vitals, maintain maintaining a clean area and being in charge of recording on
patient’s charts accuratelykeeping accurate records on patient’s charts. In addition, you have to be
in chargenurses are responsible of for transporting the patient patients in a wheelchairs or
transferring the patient to other rooms. Nurses are there at all times to care for the patient
whether it their task is to bring them a cup of water, change their bedsheets, giving give them
medication or simply be there to listen to the patient’s concerns. “They are advocates and health

educators for patients, families, and communities. When providing direct patient care, they
observe assess and record patient symptoms, reactions and progress” (Dezer). Nurses are the
right side of all doctors andNurses are the Doctor’s right hand, and they have to learn everyday
with the growing pace of technology, medication and the different types of patients coming in and
out of the hospital. most Nurses Most nurses work 12– hour shifts, that which means that they are
on their feet for many hours going back and forth from patient to patient. Nurses going through
see many patients in one day, some may be difficult and nurses have to learn to be patient and
understanding. Additionally, nurses have to work three 12-hour shifts in a week, which can
include holidays and weekends, though there is paid vacation and benefits with full–time nursing
careers. Once you are a working nurse you can be part of a Nursing organization, the most
common nursing organization is the “American Nurses Associate” with thousands of members.
