Generation of Change
Generation Z is the most diverse and advanced generation in all of history. When
comparing generations, you can see the many differences and changes that have happened in this
world. That is how one usually gets the name of their generation. For example, like my
generation, we have many names. We are known as the Centennials, the IGeneration, and the
most commonly, Generation Z. This generation is too unique to even begin to describe it.
Nothing compares to what this generation will become in the upcoming days or even years. I can
describe this generation in three simple ways: world changers, most diverse, and most educated
yet.
When some look at my generation, they do not see what we see. Older people look at us
and say, “these kids are never off their phones” or even, “why don’t they get up and do
something?” Most of our parents look at us and call us lazy, yet deep down inside, they do not
see what we see. We may fight for what is right, but we struggle socially. Gen Z struggles with
anxiety and depression more than any other generation before them. The amount of comparison
that Generation Z goes through with other generations is insane. This generation is the so-called
‘messed up’ one. We tend to not open up to others but are ready to defend someone we do not
even know. We have created our personalities based on what social media has told us. Instead of
being adults in a situation, we take it to social media and start bullying one another. We tend to
bring up the past even though things were different back then. Generation Z has become

sensitive to every subject. Yet that is what makes Generation Z unique. As time goes on, we try
to figure ourselves out, but we stress and obsess over the little things in the meantime. That is
what other generations see, but that is not it.
One looks at Gen Z and says, “What can you do to help the world?” Can I say that we are
world-changers. Many of us can have different opinions about this subject, and that is okay.
Regardless of the fact, I want others to know my views. Gen Z is purposed to see the beauty in
things. They will point out what is right and what is wrong. Yes, we may be scared to order
something from a restaurant or even tell the employee that they got our order wrong, but we will
stand for what is right. For example, racism is one of the most active issues in today’s world. The
second issue that comes after is police brutality. That has been an ongoing issue in our society
and will be forever a part of our world. This movement has explicitly taken over for the past few
