My General Education
The term education has been used variably by different people. However, my
understanding of education is that it is the wealth of knowledge acquired by an individual after
studying particular subject matters or experiencing life lessons that provide an understanding of
something. Therefore, education is not limited to the scope of curriculum that a student acquires
in the classroom. Furthermore, to be considered educated, one requires instruction of some sort
from an individual or composed literature. I am a first-generation college student, in a family of
five . Hence my parents always motivated me to be the best I could be at my schoolwork, to
serve as motivation for my siblings. There is a high level of expectation, owing to the humble
background of my family which is mostly incapable of providing effectively and efficiently for
