Gender Stereotypes
Gender stereotypes are still prevalent in the world today. What is a gender stereotype? A
gender stereotype is an idea of how people should act based on their gender. In World War I
women worked as nurses in the Australian Army, in the Red Cross, etc. When women try to
serve in traditionally male roles, stereotypes still exist today that prevent them from reaching
their full potential.
