Gender Equality
“How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and sheroes!” a powerful words
said by Maya Angelou to rephrase women situation in some areas of the world, not to mention that it
took filmmakers thirty years to realize that woman also can have super powers and finally decided to
make “ wonder woman ” movie .in fact, it also took them awhile to understand that men are fine
housekeepers too and that’s what we call gender equality ,a state in which both woman and men are
equal in opportunities and responsibilities regardless of gender. Many obstacles hinders woman from
taking their legal rights to vote , educate and even to get the right to inherit money ; There are many
evidence showing that Women have been persecuted at one point in time in every country ,which
gives us a tremendous number of female pioneers such as Malak Hifni Nasif , Nellie Bly and so on.
In a similar way, some countries succeeded to give men their right to play the role of “La Llorona”,
the crying woman, by giving women chance to enter the army.
Denying girls education around the world is tremendously recognizable
considering the fact that Two-thirds of 774 million illiterate people in the world are
female. Actually mother’s education enhances children nutrition, mental powers and
improves children’s health and chances of their survival. Moreover, girls with higher
levels of education help lower birth rates; as they are less likely to get married at an
early age. Education for women also enhances their awareness of their rights and duties
which results in gaining confidence and taking their own decisions.
Discrimination against Women isn’t a global issue as much as it can be a problem
of Women self-denial; Old habits passes through generations and then turn to be a
common fact that can’t be easily rejected by society after that .By way of example, an
