Your message should include: your definition of “gender”,
the number of articles you found and their general content
(i.e. what about them led you to identify them as “gender
articles”?).Next, chose one article that interested you
and describe it in more detail: What was it about? Why did
it interest you? What did you learn about gender from it? Do
you agree or disagree with the content of the article? Why or
why not?
Feel free to comment on or ask questions about any of
the other student messages posted, but this is not
required for this summer course. If you disagree, do so
politely. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, and you
will encounter a wide variety of opinions on gender this
semester.
