It was very interesting to learn about the different determinants for gender. Clearly,
genitalia has always been a major factor, but it was also intriguing to read about
others people’s believes that chromosomes determine gender. There are many
opposing sides about the believe that chromosomes is what determines someone’s
gender. One of the reasons against is that they are not an appropriate indicator of
gender because they are not visible. I feel that it is much more than genitalia and
chromosomes that determine gender. Some people know from early childhood that
they were born in the wrong bodies and I think that genitalia and chromosomes
don’t determine someone’s gender. One of the issues that is happening is called
“women only spaces”, where women feel uncomfortable or at risk being in a public
bathroom with a male. Personally I do not feel comfortable being in a public
