1&2 First of the Sedition and Alien Acts were a sequence of four laws that were passed by
Congress in 1798, between the fear of the war with France that was near. The laws are going to
be contentious to this very day; restricting activities from foreign residents, and limited freedom
of speech and to the press. Also, the progression of laws referred to the Alien and Sedition Acts,
the laws were including new powers to outsiders just as making it hard for the foreigners to send
out a poll. As well as the Republicans, in the congress, they contended the disagreement of
laws that abused the first amendment, which secures freedom of speech or the right to speak
and the press. The relationship between the federal government and the states was defined by
the resolution in opposing the Alien and Sedition Acts, due to that it extended the powers of the
federal government. They discussed that the constitution should be compacted or should be
agreed upon between all states. Which states could decide the constitutionality of the laws that
were being passed by the congress. In my opinion, the relationship between the federal
government and the states is that as long as their laws don’t contradict each other’s laws they
are fine with each other. Also, they both have the power to tax and make or change any laws as
well as borrowing money.
3&4. The thing that Warren considered the greatest threat to freedom was luxury and the
rejection of religion. First of letting me start off by saying that Warren was an American artist and
writer. She encouraged ineffectively the right for women to be put into the US constitution. After
reflecting on the fall of the great empires in the past, the loss of peace and freedom was what
Warren called the reason for the fall in mortality and the vanishing of virtue. Warren considered
the republican government and freedom from tyranny the most significant legacy of the
American revolution. One of the main achievements of the revolution was one that she
considered the victory of the republican values. Mercy even wrote something to the upcoming
generations of Americans. Saying that to allow never allow the senseless taste of people from
the District of Colombia. She stated the principles of the revolution, and she said that the
principles of the revolution should always be a beam to states. Also, she said that the privileges
that go through the electoral should not be abused for personal interest or if you’re a fan.
