Business Process Change Plan
Established in 1893, Kern High School District has grown immensely over the past 123
years with more than 200,000 graduating students. Currently serving more than 39,520 students
housed across eighteen comprehensive high schools, six alternative education schools, one adult
school and one career and technical education regional training center; the Kern High School
District is the largest 9-12 public high school district in Southern California. The districts main
office is in Central Bakersfield where the offices of Human Resources, Payroll, Business
Services, the Superintendent’s office, Research & Planning and Educational Services are located.
The Kern High School District’s mission is dedicated to its students by providing
