Gasland One and Two
“Gasland One and Two” were the documentary movies made by Josh Fox. These movies have
related to how the current new push to drill for natural gas in the United States. The documentary-
maker Fox had mentioned an important thing happened in people’s life, which something was called
“fracking”, or. hydraulic fracturing This thing was pumping down millions of gallons pf chemically
treated water into the earth to crack open the rock and releasing the gas. This chemical has awful
effects on the water supply. People became sick and could not drink water from underground. The
chemical used in the fracking process seep into the soil and water supply, leaving many families with
bizarre aberrations such as leaving their own house.
In 2010, Josh Fox’ documentary “Gasland one” had noticed in the United States’ global issue.
“Fracking” is a process that uses drilling and high-pressure water to release natural gas from deep
underground. Fox had concerned about the natural gas. He received the mail about signing the lease,
also his neighbor. He searched what gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale might do to his beloved
Delaware River. His research from Dimock to across the United States. He met people and record
people’s thought about natural gas attacked people’s life.
Josh Fox had got samples about the water with natural gas from different people. He showed
how serious problem people had deal with the water. However, nobody took responsibility for this
issue. Even more, people thought their life was in danger, because they had sick for while with this
issue. For example, Mike Markham tested the water from the sink. He just lighted the fire near by
water. For a second, the water was on the fire. This had shocked to people. Jesse and Amee were also
had influence by natural gas. They were terrified because water contained natural gas. They thought
their life had threaten. Natural gas could cause the boom. The boom caused problem to people’s
health. Many resident complained for healthy problems. Toxic pervaded in the air. People needed to
put on respirator.
Fox visited Dr. Colborn who environment Health Analyst. She did the experiment to the
