Once Galileo created a retrofitted telescope to investigate the heavens and discover the possibilities his
theory based on Copernicus heliocentric models became more of a possibility and less of a theory. The
heliocentric model in which the Sun is the center of the universe and all the planets, moons, and stars
revolve around it became easier to acknowledge publicly with his growing observations of our Galaxy.
Along with the idea in which Earth is round and the moon can rotate around the planet, while the planet
Earth itself is in fact in motion revolving around the Sun’s orbit as the center of our Milky Way Galaxy.
Galileo’s observation of Jupiter and it’s moons in orbit revolving around the Sun did in fact provide
enough evidence to justify the heliocentric model we believe in today while clearly proving the previous
geocentric model in which the center of the Milky Way Galaxies is the planet Earth is in fact false. Earth
does not lie still in the center while the Sun and all other planets revolved around it.
