Tutoring In-School and Online
In school tutoring and having one-on-one interaction has its benefits
where students are allowed to express themselves better and pinpoint what
is troubling them. However, online tutoring can reach broader ranges of
students and give the ability of having countless resources and exposure to
different methodologies to help students understand.
Online tutoring programs can combine effective features like
curricular resources and well-trained, qualified tutors, with
synchronous supplemental instruction that can meet students where
they are—academically and physically. (Vasquez and Slocum)
Tutoring In-School and Online
Online tutoring services are much more accessible to students and give
more students the ability to gain the extra assistance that they need.
Agencies offering online Mathematics tutoring had a larger effect size
than agencies offering only face-to-face Mathematics services
(Chappell et al).
