This film shows and tells the life and story of several characters, or rather very young children. In
the documentary you can clearly see the social inequality. Since the children do not have the
opportunity to go outside the boarding school, which limits their freedom. Inequality can also be
seen in the unequal distribution of resources, that is, in this situation the inability of children due
to the fact that they are in a boarding home with children with disabilities. Which means that none
of the children will have the opportunity to study in a profession that they like because of their
“disability”. The inequality is also evident in the concealment of reliable information about the
families of these children and their psychological state.
Conflict Perspective
In case of conflict theory of sociology, world is seen as constant struggle. The conflict perspective
assumes that social behavior is best understood in terms of tension between groups over power or

representation. In this case, the conflict theory is clearly seen in the lack of resources. such as,
educated and attentive staff, limited knowledge, clothing, and so on. and this inequality was the
result of problematic families (like drug and alcohol addicts, criminals) from which these children
came from.
Functionalist Perspective
According to functionalist perspective, world is a living organism, where every part of it
contributes to its survival and promotes stability and solidarity. If to analyze this case from
functionalist theory, the system that was established in boarding school work altogether to control
all these children or to protect them from outer world. As we know main function of functionalist
perspective is to survive. In other words, this also means that society should accept and teach how
to survive other part of the society no matter to their ability of thinking or values and customs. So,
as we saw in the movie society gives those particular social group a chance to survive in the world
by teaching them some basic knowledge, and the skill in such a fields as locksmith, seamstress,
molar. As from the functionalist perspective the world can only survive by mutual benefit. Since
the world need not only scientists, but also laborers. In this case the world will function like one
organism. Also, in functionalist perspective it is important to contribute goods and services to its
