Freedom of Expression
When was the last time one was put into jail for publicly voicing their opinion? If an
individual is a United States resident, odds are, that will never happen. Other places are sadly not
as promising. In America, the freedom to express ones judgement without any consequences is
all thanks to Article 19 in the Declaration of Independence. This right, known as freedom of
speech or freedom of expression, is often used as an advantage to the people of the United States.
