Instruction: In essay type, please share you experiences from our
current situation base on your awareness in your surroundings or in
your community environment.
Answer:
Following January 1, 2020 we are all ready to face another
year with smile in our faces and dreams in our minds. We were ready
to take on the world with positive outlook no matter what the future
held. For many of us, 2020 was a beacon of hope, for the class 2020
this meant walking on stage in front of their families. Graduation
meant becoming an adult and finding a job.
Then, March of 2020 came to pass ordering us to stay at
home, which we all did. However, little did we know that the world
we once had open to us would only be forgotten when we closed our
front doors. Life became immediately uncertain and for many of us,
our plans including careers, education, and basic standard of living
were revoked. We became forgotten- a place from which many of us
had attempted to rise attending to universities. The goals that we were
told we could set and the plans that we allowed to make, these were
crushed before our eyes.
After this, I realize the silencing factor that COVID- 19 has. The
current situation put the world on pause, but this pause gave me time
to reflect on troubling matters. Time that so many of others like me
probably also desperately needed to heal without even knowing it.
Sometimes it takes ones world to falling apart for the most beautiful
mosaic to be build up from the broken pieces of wreckage.
