“Fortress of Solitude”
To recover your original simplicity there are a set of obstacles that must first be
relinquished. Being able to sight all the wrongdoings that you have committed aids in a process
known as “self-recollection”. Once you have reached such a peak of power, you will be able to
accept your past; this will lead to divination over the original simplicity that has been sought
after. However, if perchance you fail to accept what has occurred, you will not only suffer, but
you will isolate yourself from the very roots that aided in your benevolence. I believe it was on a
Wednesday afternoon when I first encountered a young lad known as Dhillon. His soul was filled
with great innocence; however that innocence is what destroyed his sense of righteousness. As I
watched Dhillon explain how great of a mother he had, I began to enjoy his company. It was then
that I had realized that I was being surrounded by a group of people. It took me a second to
realize that I was watching a play known as “Fortress of Solitude”; it was so captivating that I
felt as if I was completely alone with Dhillon. Those individuals surrounding me were here for
the same reason as I, we wished to see what the young lad had in store for us. The play was set in
Brooklyn. As it seems, Dhillon and his parents were the only Caucasian folk in the
neighborhood. As he listened to his record player, he explained how his mother wished that he
had an average teenage lifestyle. A little after, he found a ring on the record player, thus making
