Formalist and Biographical have very few in common, in fact they are the opposite from
each other. However literature still connects them, making these two a perfect example to
analyze its differences. Formalist Criticism is in fact based more in what is a text literary trying
to say, disregarding any outside influence. While Biographical criticism focuses more on
background information, specially the authors information; it uses their biography to do a
deeper analysis on the text to find out more about what the author might be trying to say based
