Forks Over Knives Response
Forks over Knives used lots of information and many of them seem reliable to use as a
source. Although, many claims that they announced aren’t backed with evidence. Any sources
that does not have credentials is not a good source to use for an academic research paper.
Credentials meaning written by someone with either a professional or an academic background.
I’m not quite certain what single source means but I think it means a source that is specifically
selected out of all of the other sources that share similar information. The problem with using
just a single source is that if there is a given claim in an essay backed with one source, that’s
seems to be not enough evidence to prove a point. The film had many effective evidence and
unsubstantiated/unverifiable claims. I was able to identity many unverifiable claims than
effective evidence. The evidence that could be used for a course goes somewhere on the lines of
reduction of animal base and refine food can help reduce diseases. Most strong evidences include
statistics if used correctly. As for the claims, there were many that I caught. In the film, they said
“In the Philippines, liver cancer is mainly found in adults.” This is because of the food they
consume. Though, they didn’t note that liver cancer can be caused by other stuff, too. It can be
generation that moved to America “never” reported for heart disease.
