Ford Motors was established by Henry Ford in 1903, in Michigan, Detroit. The
exceptionally old Ford Company is one of the biggest family-claimed and controlled
automaker on the planet even today. The organization that stands at fifth rank, as far
as sales are concerned, and has discovered business advancing around the world—
including both developed and developing nations and is presently worth $199 billion.
It firstly had five brands under its umbrella which were sold off by time. These
included Land Rover, Aston Martin, Mercury, Jaguar and Volvo. The organization
also joined the luxury segment in 1922 by holding hands with Lincoln motors. In
1910, the company started to expand its operation in other countries which involved
Germany, England, Austria, Denmark and France. Despite being a leading
manufacturer and achieving the fifth rank in automobile industry, there are many
challenges ahead to undertake in order to achieve the highest/high ranking and
maintain it. (FordForLife, 2015)
Ford’s mission statement is a simple phrase that strongly enforces worldwide. It is:
“One Ford: one team, one plan, one goal.” They have the vision: “To become the
world’s leading consumer company for automotive products and services.” Basically,
Ford is trying to point their respective employees and customers which should be
satisfied. Ultimately, Ford want to achieve its targets through meeting the interests of
their stakeholders. (Elmer, 2015) The stakeholders are customers, employees,
investors, communities and suppliers.

Firstly, customers are the top priority for Ford Motors because they could bring
significant impact to the revenues of the company. They are interested to have
better-quality products and services and especially the after-sale services.
(Thompson, 2015) Fortunately, the ford has the highest satisfaction rating among all
the other automakers in the world. (Company, 2010) According to IHS Automotive
Loyalty Awards, Ford won the title of having the most loyal customers in the auto
industry. (Elmer, 2015) Ford continues to innovate better quality vehicle with fuel
economy, design, safety to gain maximize satisfaction. Majority of the cars produced
in 2015 have achieved 5-star-rating from the United States New Car Assessment
Program (NCAP). (Thompson, 2015)
